SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27

Recognizing the West Virginia Trails Coalition for their
outstanding contribution to the development of tourism and
industry.
Whereas, The best utilization of our natural resources is in
keeping with the objectives of trail users; and
Whereas, Trail developments promote the goals of economic
progress, expanded recreation, industry and education, all of which
are essential components of local, state and national strategic
planning; and
Whereas, Private individuals, organizations and government
agencies work together to achieve these common goals; and
Whereas, Trail development programs are an integral part of
the cultural, historic and natural fiber of West Virginia;
therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby recognizes the outstanding
contributions of the West Virginia Trails Coalition in the development of tourism and industry; and, be it
Further Resolved,
That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the secretary of the West Virginia
department of transportation and the director of the division of
parkways, economic development and tourism authority.
